AIX (V6.1 TL4 and V5.3 TL11) now includes an integrated performance data collector in support of Performance Management (PM) for Power Systems. This agent automatically collects non-proprietary utilization and growth data at a partition level. At the client’s option, the collected data is automatically transmitted to and retained at IBM through the installation and activation of IBM’s Electronic Service Agent. This enables you to access client performance and capacity reports by using the PM Sales tool.
